MUNNAR & THEKKADY - 3 nights - 4 days

DAY01: ARRIVE COCHIN - MUNNAR
Morning pick up from Cochin airport/Conference venue and transfer to Munnar (around 4 hours drive).Enroute stop at Cheeyappara waterfalls for a break.

Munnar is arguably the ideal starting point for exploring the unfathomable diversity and beauty of Kerala, and it is a hill station - breathtakingly beautiful - a haven of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in God's own country. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft in Idukki district, Munnar was the favoured summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. Unending expanse of tea plantations - pristine valleys and mountains- exotic species of flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests - aroma of spice scented cool air - yes! Munnar has all these and more.

On arrival check in to your hotel and relax. Afternoon visit tea factory museum. Later you will visitMattupetty Dam and Echo point. You can enjoy a speed boat ride at the artificial lake at Mattupetty.

DAY 02: MUNNAR
Morning after a leisurely breakfast, proceed Eravikulam National Park.

Eravikulam National Park: A sanctuary for the endangered mountain goat of South India, the NilgiriTahr. The Eravikulam National Park stands out for the stark beauty of its rolling grasslands and sholas, spread over 97 sq km in the Rajamalai hills. Anamudi, the highest peak (2695 m) south of the Himalayas, towers over the sanctuary in majestic pride. The slopes of the hills abound in all kinds of rare flora and fauna. The Atlas moth, the largest of its kind in the world, is a unique inhabitant of the park. Other rare species of fauna found here are the NilgiriLangur, the lion-tailed macaque, leopards, tigers, etc.

Rest of the day free for shopping and independent activities.Overnight in Munnar.

DAY 03: MUNNAR - THEKKADY
Morning after breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady (Around 3 hrs drive).

Thekkady is placed at an altitude of 700m above the sea level. Located in the Idukki district of Kerala, Thekkady is a perfect retreat for anyone who loves adventure, fun, wildlife and nature. Nestled between the ever-green and semi-evergreen forests of Western Ghats, Thekkady has so many things to offer for the tourists who visit this place. In the biggest wildlife sanctuary, you can sight Asian elephants, bison, sambar deer, boars, tigers, leopards, wild squirrels, lion tailed monkeys etc. The Country's sole Tiger reserve, Thekkady, with its bountiful treasures of tropical flora and fauna is the ultimate reservoir of many an endangered species and a rich tribal culture. Thekkady is a pleasant heaven on earth for those who love nature in its wild manifestations.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Afternoon visit Periyar wild life sanctuary and enjoy a boating through Periyar Lake to see Wildlife in close range. Elephants, wildboar, bison are the main attraction here.Later transfer back to your hotel.

Overnight at Thekkady.

DAY 04: THEKKADY - COCHIN
Morning after breakfast, checkout and transfer to Conference venue/Cochin airport.
